The Squid’s work starts with a feeling - always purely a feeling - and honing into it brings forth the visual concept, the production, the location, subjects and their interaction with each other or their environment.
Similarly, The Spaces In Between Us emerged from a feeling, a vision to create and experience far beyond the traditional exhibition setting. Free hanging captures and lyrical prose both complement each other and take the viewer on a journey though the human condition, guided by curated playlists, food made with love, beer and ice tea brewed small batch - everyone barefoot in a collective experience of connection as the sunset spilling through windows changes the lighting in its own cyclical nature.
An empowering and emotional experience, The Spaces In Between Us inspires laugher and tears, reflection and connection. It is hosted anywhere with ceiling mounts, so please get in touch to bring the magic to you.
Albert Park College Art Show

Both pieces displayed at the APC Art Show were shot on one breath in the open ocean in Malta and Egypt and deal with themes of Identity and Longing, Strength and Softness.
The Opening Night Gala is a ticketed event on the evening of the 27th of November. RSVP essential. The exhibition will run from the 28th until the 30th November with free entry. All work is for sale and artists are eligible for prizes - winners announced on the 27th November.

The Spaces In Between Us premiered in Feb 2025 in Fitzroy, Melbourne Australia to a sold out audience of over 200 people. A curated musical soundscape, artisanal food and craft small batch brewing accompanied the dramatic high summer sunset rays that changed the colours and visceral experience of the space over time.
6 carefully chosen cinematic dreamscapes matched with 6 prose on Identity, Loss, Creativity, Sadness, Togetherness and Trust paired with the grounding of a barefoot space saw visitors absorb the imagery, sounds, smells and rays, many reading and then re-reading the entire selection as layers of meaning transcended our individual experiences.
BSide On Love

BSIDE Gallery is the new generation of art spaces; young, energetic and looking to break the rules. The collective defies the trend of closing creative spaces and reclaims artistic turf in what is Melbourne’s oldest suburb. The space provides a dynamic platform for artists that challenges the norm of the traditional gallery setting, a rarity amongst the ever-increasing tides of development.
An exploration of the concept of Love, saw a wider variety of artists exhibit painting, photography, spoken word, live music, recording, scuplture, printmaking and poetry. BSIDE / B-side’ refers to the rare, hidden gems found on the flipside of records and cassette tapes, known for their originality, often providing a truer representation of the artist than the hit they are attributed to.
